It’s time to close out this short review and with the holiday buying season just around the corner I know you want to know whether or not this TV is worth buying. If you’re looking for good value, the Samsung 55ES6500 has just that. In Canada, the UN55ES6500 is priced around $1700 before any local sales and for that you get a gorgeous screen with a very attractive design. On the hardware front you end up with a pretty solid picture quality where a few adjustments will make the display exceptional. The integrated software offers a lot of features to allow you to make the most out of your investment.

Samsung ES6500

One of the biggest surprises to me is the low power consumption of this model. Most TVs that I have recently reviewed drew well over 100W when watching movies but the UN55ES6500 came in a watt over 90. In the long run, that will save you big dollars and saving long term is a big deal to me. The UN55ES6500 gets my nod.
