I get quite giddy when a package arrives at my door, particularly when it is a new TV from Samsung Canada for review. Last month I finished my review of the Samsung UN55ES6500 LED TV and for the most part it was a TV with good value. It had a nice design, good picture quality and very low power consumption. It’s time to step it up and have a look at what the UN55ES7100 has to offer.
There are a few differences between the ES7100 and the ES6500 that I’ll cover off right now. To start, the ES7100 has Clear Motion Rate of 720 compared to 480 on the ES6500. There is also Macro Dimming available on the ES7100 that is not available on the ES6500. The ES7100 is also the first model to come with dual core processor; the models below are single core. Last but not least, the ES7100 has four 3D glasses compared to the two in the ES6500.
That’s enough for now, let’s move on with the review and we’ll cover the specifications later on.
