One big plus with the ML-2540 is the size. It’s fairly compact and can be tucked into any space. With the dust cover it can also double as a small surface for stacks of paper. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has stacked stuff on top of a printer before!

In addition to just being a printer, the ML-2540 has the One Touch feature which allows you to print what’s on your screen by pressing the One Touch key on the printer. Samsung also includes the AnyWeb Print software that helps you build collages by dragging and dropping content from any website into a scrap board. In my personal opinion, this would be a nice feature for those who are buying their first printer and computer. If you have any knowledge of Photoshop, GIMP or anything similar then you can easily build your own collages using screen shots, photo clips or pictures you already have. The need to print what’s exactly on your monitor also seems very limited; such a task would result in a print of any background programs as well as the main window you were most interested in. I think Samsung could have easily gone without these two features without hurting their target market but that’s just my two cents on this application. Let’s move on with setting up the printer and running a few test prints.
