Samsung NB30 Netbook
May 20th, 2010 | By AnthonyThe NB30 is packed away in a fairly small cardboard box, much like any other netbook. It isn’t too, too interesting so we will just skip over to unpacking!

Inside, we get a stack of documents, a sleeve, AC adaptor and of course there in the striking blue: the NB30 netbook.

So, let’s talk a bit about the NB30. Front and back the textured design runs throughout.

If blue isn’t your thing the NB30 also comes in a more universal black.

The small button in the front is the power switch, a bit unconventional but it works. Being one who simply does not touch manuals (and I am certain many of our readers don’t either), it took me quite some time to figure out how to turn the unit on. Readers take note: the slider is the power button.
On the sides, we have our usual array of connectors: three USB plugs, audio in/out, Ethernet, VGA, power, and on the front a SD card reader.

The NB30 is built with a wonderful keyboard. It is soft but has just the right amount of click. It of course is no IBM Model M keyboard, but as far as netbooks and laptop keyboards go the NB30 has one of the best I’ve felt.

On the back, we have the battery pack. Easy to remove and install, though there would hardly be a reason to carry an additional pack given the standard 6900 mAh 6 cell provides the unit with an advertised 10.5 hours of usage.
