Samsung UN60F6400 60 inch LED HDTV
Jan 11th, 2014 | By SimonThe UN60F6400 is a great TV for those looking to enter the 60″ realm and balance practical and over-the-top. The F6400 introduces Micro-Dimming which greatly improves picture quality giving you midnight blacks and bright clean whites.
While I was disappointed by the viewing angle and voice control, these are only two negatives in a thick book of positive features. The picture quality is amazing when viewed from straight on and with the rotating stand that is easy to achieve. The picture quality let me relived my trips as I flipped through the countless number of pictures I have for my 2013 photo book.
The integrated wireless network connection gives you the most apps I’ve seen on a TV available at your fingertips with a remote control that I think is currently best-in-class and gets easier to use after you clear the learning curve. I found it easier to change channels, switch video sources and navigate the expansive Smart Hub menu with the swipe pad remote.
Overall, the Samsung 60F6400 brings great bang for the buck. It can be found online for $1700 when on sale. For this price it would be worth getting if you wanted a low cost, big screen, feature packed TV. I don’t think these will be around for much longer, 2014 models are on the way in!

- Disadvantage
- Picture quality degrades at increasing viewing angles
- Voice Control feature could be improved
I’d like to thank Samsung for making this review possible.
