Cooler Master Elite 361

For 50 dollars, Cooler Master has not brought much to the table, aside from a steel shell to place a low-heat-producing PC. With the front-mounted power supply causing cramped quarters, lack of fans causing high temperatures, and lack of style caused by lackluster looks and fake drive bays, there aren’t many things that can be considered “elite” of the Elite 361.

On the flip side, the Elite is, in fact, for a budget builder who is only looking for something simple and inexpensive to house his or her PC. The minimal footprint is also a bonus, keeping things simple and unnoticed – a small home server could be a fitting use, considering the space for five hard drives. While there are many things that this chassis is lacking, there is certainly nothing defective or ill-designed.

  • Advantages

  • Small form factor
  • ~$50
  • Simple, unassuming design
  • Disadvantages

  • Poor airflow
  • One fan included

A special thanks to Cooler Master for making this review possible.
