The Havik comes in a contrasting white and black box. The stark contrast is admittedly attractive, and does justice to NZXT’s recent color schemes. An image of the cooler stands boldly on the face of the box.
Circling to the left, the NZXT lists off CPU compatibility and size specifications. Beyond the standard socket types, we also have support for Intel’s LGA2011 socket, and AMD’s FM1 socket, which is great news for the latest PC builds.
NZXT delves deeper into key features, and laces it with technical specifications and pictures; more on this in a moment.
On the right, NZXT gives a quick blurb on why the Havik 120 is meant for you:
“To achieve superior CPU cooling, you can count on NZXT’s award-winning HAVIK series to rid of all your heating issues. In comparison to the HAVIK 140, the HAVIK 120 is compact offering more versatility. This 120mm CPU cooler is perfect for overclockers seeking a small yet powerful fan cooler. The base is composed to pure copper material that utilizes four 8mm pipes for transferring heat to nickel-plated aluminum fins. This allows more air to reach the heat sink which keeps temperatures low while increasing longevity of your components. HAVIK 120 is a victory for any enthusiast looking for an inexpensive high performing silent CPU cooling.”
After folding back the cardboard flaps that secure the product in place, the Havik and corresponding foam cocoon can be pulled out in one clean piece. The cooler and required parts are shielded on all sides to protect from damage.
Let’s take a quick look at the specifications and features before we get closer.
