We’re at the unfortunate end to the review. The Samsung UN55D8000 delivers exceptional performance in all categories from looks, features, power consumption and picture quality. Some may argue there are some color uniformity issues but in my eyes that was not a problem. The design is stunning with the minimalistic bezel making the TV look like all picture. The life-like picture quality was great with accurate colors and the 3D processing seems to have taken a huge leap in the right direction. The SMART HUB offers a ton of great widgets with the Web Browser being my favourite thanks to the fully functional QWERTY keyboard remote.

If there was one pitfall with the TV, it would have to be the cost. In Canada, the UN55D8000 retails for over three thousand dollars. The USA fares much better with pricing at two thousand. Pricing aside, there isn’t much negative to say about the UN55D8000. For that, it has earned our Editor’s Choice award.
