Popping open the box, the true size of the HAF comes to view. After determining the best course of action to extract the HAF, the box was gently turned on its side and the HAF slowly slid out still enclosed in the Styrofoam and cellophane wrapping.

Thirty pounds of steel and plastic have never looked as elegantly functional as with the HAF. Each of the doors has louvers for additional airflow. Bolted to the left door we find a large 230 millimeter fan and an etched Plexiglas window. Alternately the right door has a large bulge that is located directly behind the motherboard tray, which should facilitate easier cable routing.

Dual power supply mounts are easily visible on the back of the chassis along with dual water cooling grommets and a single 140 millimeter fan. For those counting, there are seven expansion slots on the HAF.

Along the top, you can see a massive amount of perforated steel, a 230 millimeter cooling fan and an abundance of additional fan and radiator mounts. Going along with the liquid cooling theme, Cooler Master has included a Fillport located on the top of the chassis as well. This port is elegantly covered with a rubber gasket.

The front of the HAF is strictly functional, and has a love it or hate it appearance. Fortunately, all of the expansion bay covers easily pop out by pressing a tab and popping the desired cover out. Since this is a renovation of the previous HAF 932, one would expect some additional changes to the chassis, but the only change is the addition of two USB 3.0 ports.

Included hardware consists of an eight pin ATX 2.0 power cable extender, four casters, zip ties and assorted screws, one 3.5 inch drive bay converter and an installation guide.

Anyone else notice the abundance of perforated metal and fans in the HAF but not a single air filter?
