Introduction

A mousepad is one of the most important accessories most people don’t pay enough attention to. It can make the difference
between losing a Quake 3 deadmatch and kicking someone’s butt.
Kyle Bennet, webmaster of Hard|OCP, also realized this and designed a new mousing surface that wipes out all competition.
The proud father called his baby RatPad and today we are going to send some time with his kiddo :).

Specs of a RatPad …

The RatPad is the biggest mousepad I have ever seen in my life! It’s about 30cm wide and 24cm high constructed in hard plastic with
nine plastic feet underneath it to prevent the pad from slipping.
My RatPad came with the ‘RatPadz.Com’ logo on it, but you can also get a RatPad with the infamous (yeah right!) ‘Hard|OCP’ logo on it.
The Hard|OCP one comes with a very cool flame on it too.

The Test

How does one test a mousing surface? Well I can’t speak for others but I played Quake3: Arena, Unreal Tournament, Star Trek:Elite Force and
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun for days and days! I must admit that, especially for FPS games, my skills increased exponentially making this
mousing surface has paid for itself.
It is really handy that your mouse does not fall off your mousepad when you are fighting the battle of your life in Q3A. Dying because your mouse falls off the mousepad is always annoying.
Now you only need to concentrate on the enemy, and your mouse worries will be over.

Now I have been going on about how easy it is to win a game with this piece of plastic, but let me tell you: it is also very useful when you are using a
22′ monitor with a resolutiuon of 1600×1200.
Thanks to the RatPad I can do whatever I want without having to replace the mouse on the mousing surface, which happened to me a lot when I used a
normal mousepad.

Also the graphical artists among us will adore the RatPad because they also use big screens and high resolutions don’t they?

And last but certainly not the least factor I want to point out about the RatPad is it’s strength. What I am saying is that you can let this pad fall
down from the 20th floor and it will still be in one piece! You can use it to keep your closet balanced, or to hit your little brother when he has ‘redecorated’ your computer for the third time this week. This state of the art mousing surface can be used for many things :).

Conclusion

The RatPad is the best mousing surfance available on today’s market and it’s really cheap too! I suggest all people who don’t have one yet to go out and buy one today.
