I'll admit it, when I was asked to take a look at ‘some cable management products’, I was not at all excited. Cable management products are a stark contrast from the types of toys we usually play with here at Overclockers Online!
So who is Bluelounge and what exactly do they offer? Bluelounge was established as a multidisciplinary design studio by two designers, Dominic Symons and Melissa Sunjaya. This unique union of design and art has turned its spotlight to pursue elegant solutions for every day problems.
Bluelounge's purpose, creed, and while origin is unknown, this famous quote which is often attributed to Einstein holds an incredible amount of truth. In humanities ever insatiable desire to learn we tend to over synthesize and over compound ideas, to the point where they become unrecognizable to the state in which they were conceived.
Today we will be taking a look at the POP by Bluelounge which is aimed at tackling the age old problem of tangled ear bud cords.

One of Bluelounge's goals is to ‘[...]to transform even the most everyday items into objects of desire.’ Bluelounge follows through with this even down to the packaging.
While the front does not give away too many clues, the back of the package does an excellent job describing the products function, simply put: pop, wrap, clip.
Opening up the package, included is a manual, adhesive pad, decals, and the POP itself consisting of a belt clip and a suction cup. So just about now, most of you are probably lost, what good is a suction cup and a belt clip? You can bet I was asking myself the exact same question when I opened up the package! So, lets go through this step by step.

The POP's purpose is to manage wires by simply providing a spindle in which the wire can be spun around. The POP is designed to work in two ways, either by attaching to say a belt clip or the device itself.
Using a suction cup, the POP can attach itself to devices such as MP3 players, portable gaming consoles, cell phones and so on.
With the POP attached, simply wind the cord around it!
In the case that the suction cup does not stick, the included adhesive pad can be used.
This method is also great for laptops and monitors!
As we said earlier, a belt clip is also included with the kit. Attaching the suction cup to the back of the belt clip allows the POP to be secured onto clothing making it much more versatile.
For a bit of added customization, each POP ships with a set of decals too!
Page 4 : Conclusion
Bluelounge's POP is an elegant solution to the horribly too familiar problem of tangled cords. For such a simple product, Bluelounge has clearly put quite a bit of thought into it and the result is in my books, a perfect product.
The POP is a wire management system which is adaptable to a whole range of situations allowing it to be used in the home or on the go.
