Sentey Burton (GS-6500) Chassis
May 11th, 2011 | By ChrisThe Burton sports five 5.25″ drives, two of which are capable of hiding any optical drive behind its cover. Below them is the face of the mesh cover, concealing the 140mm LED fan. The illuminated power button sits on the top, accompanied by four on/off fan controllers, four USB 2.0 ports, and mic and headphone jacks. Unfortunately there are no USB 3.0 ports here even as USB 3.0 is becoming increasingly more popular. This shortfall is partially made up by the integration of both e-SATA and the native SATA interface. Just above that is the 8-in-1 card reader, capable of reading CF/MD, XD, SD/MMC, TF and MS-M2 cards.
The left side of the chassis has a tiered effect that allows for air ventilation, as the VGA intake fans are positioned directly behind it. The left side has no vents to assist in airflow.
The rear of the chassis is pretty standard; a single 120mm fan resides in the back to assist with exhaust. Below that are the standard seven I/O plates, and the bay for a bottom power supply.
Let’s take off those side panels and check out the interior!
