NZXT Hades
Feb 6th, 2010 | By StevenNZXT has manufactured a good case and after some modification, Hades has found a place to call home with this reviewer. Beautifully sculpted and outrageous airflow for $89.99 US is astounding. I’d recommend this case to anyone looking for cutting edge styling, great airflow and nice cable management features as long as you don’t use liquid cooling and/or a large heat sink as the case will not close.
There were only a few items that bothered me about the Hades, namely the radiator mounts on the top of the chassis. I appreciate that they are there, but the case could have been made a few inches taller to actually accommodate the radiator. As mentioned before, the case could stand to be made from a thicker gauge steel to prevent the flimsy feel and for longevity.
- Advantages
- Good performance
- Motherboard cut-out for easy CPU bracket removal
- 2.5″ hard drive adapter
- Cable management
- LCD Temp readout
- Dual channel fan controller
- Disadvantages
- Unable to mount liquid cooling radiator with provided mounts
- Feels somewhat weak/flimsy
- Fan in the door will conflict with some heat sinks
I’d like to thanks NZXT for making this review possible
