XtremeGear HP-1216B
Mar 4th, 2010 | By StevenThe following system was installed and used to gather temperatures:
- CPU: Intel Xeon 3060 (Core 2 E6600 equivalent)
- MB: Asus P5k Premium
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000
- Video: BFG GeForce 210
- PSU: Thermaltake TR2 430w
- HD: Hitachi TravelStar 100GB 2.5”
- OS: Microsoft Windows 7
Comparison Coolers:
- XtremeGear HP-1216B
- Coolit Domino A.L.C. with Scythe Slip Stream Fan
- Stock Intel HSF
Ambient temperature was maintained at twenty degrees Celsius. For idle temperature readings the system was allowed to stand at idle for three hours before temperatures were taken. To achieve full load temperature, OCCT was run for three hours and the average peak temperature was recorded. Voltages remained the same during testing at 1.21 Volts. All temperature readings were taken using OCCT.

Outstanding temperatures are delivered while the processor is at stock speed specs. Seems that the idle temperature is only one degree above ambient and load temperature checks in at a measly fifteen degrees above ambient.

Even when we turn up the clock speed the HP-1216B outperforms even our Domino A.L.C. by three degrees and clocks in at twenty degrees over ambient. Dissipating the heat from our overclocked Xeon is an easy task for the HP-1216B.
