Evercool Hawk1 NB Cooling Pad (NP-511)
Nov 22nd, 2010 | By JaredThe Hawk1 comes packaged in a thin black box with several pictures along with features and specifications. At first sight of the box you know the Hawk1 is a thin notebook cooler.

Opening things up the Hawk1 is nestled inside a cardboard square. No accessories are included since the Hawk1 is fully assembled and ready to use.

The entire cooler is made of a metal mesh with the exception of the bottom edge. This mesh design allows for air circulation along the entire bottom surface of the notebook or netbook. A 92mm fan resides in the center of the cooling pad.

Once you turn the Hawk1 over there are four rubber pads to dampen any vibration as well as preventing the cooling pad from sliding. There is a small channel that runs from side to side to allow routing the USB cable that powers the fan. You can easily route the cable to either side of the cooling pad for whichever suits your needs the best. The cable is easily pressed into the channel by running your finger along over the top pressing it down.

One of the selling points of the Hawk1 is its super thin profile as you can see here from the side.
