Axle GeForce G210 512MB

Being my first Axle video card, I was not let down by the GeForce G210. It is no doubt an entry-level video card that is not intended for new generation gaming and the performance shows that. The results showed this very clearly but this is somewhat expected as the 8600GTS was more of a mid-range card of the previous generation while the G210 is a low-end card of the current generation. The synthetic benchmarks, however, showed that the G210 does have some decent processing power.

In terms of its design, the Arctic Cooling heatsink comes to mind first – it appears to be a well-designed cooling solution and very quiet which is a plus for HTPC use. The video card also has three ouputs: HDMI, DVI and VGA, to satisfy everyone.

Axle G210

All in all, I’d recommend the Axle GeForce G210 as a video card that is well-suited for an HTPC or web browsing computer. Also, it would be a decent upgrade if you’re still using motherboard integrated video and don’t plan on playing the latest titles on the market.

Advantages

  • DirectX 10.1 compatible

  • Arctic Cooling cooler is effective and quiet
  • Feature-packed
  • Inexpensive

Disadvantages

  • Not the best performing card for gaming

I’d like to thank Axle for making this review possible
