MSI unveils first external graphic card

External graphics cards are not necessarily a new invention as the concept has been around for at least 2 years but bringing the idea to life for notebooks is a more modern achievement. MSI’s latest external graphics card connects to your notebook via the ExpressCard slot and can be found between $170 and $230 USD. Currently MSI plans to offer this device with the ATI Radeon 5670 and power limitations prevent anything more advanced than the 5670 to be used.
While it’s not the most powerful card in the world, this opens up a lot of doors for people with notebooks having a big beefy CPU but are crippled by an integrated graphs processor. Utilizing the MSI External Graphics Card one can now how to play some of the newer games in high definition.
