Samsung CLP-770ND Color Laser Printer
Apr 28th, 2010 | By SimonThe Samsung CLP-770ND is packaged in a brown cardboard box with blue print indicating it’s the CLP-770ND. Unpacking instructions are printed on the top flap of the box. The illustration shows two people carrying the printer out but one able-bodied person can manage the printer – just don’t plan on carrying it up a flight of stairs.
Opening up the box we can see the Styrofoam cover protecting the toner cartridges and the printer nestled below it. There are four cartridges in total and the starter cartridges yield 3,500 pages each. A full cartridge will yield 7,000 pages. Individual toner cartridges range from 120-150 dollars which works out to a very reasonable 2 cents a page.
In addition to the printer, the accessories include a power cable, installation CD, warranty details and a cleaning pump to remove any dust stuck on the toner drum that may cause white streaks on your print out.
The CLP-770ND was designed with performance in mind and was never intended to look flashy or stylish in your office. The simple grey chassis is easy to operate and is fuss-free when it comes to refilling the paper tray, changing the toner and grabbing your print outs. The paper tray can be pulled out from the front and sits at the bottom of the printer. Stacked on top is the access panel for manual feeding and toner replacement. Situated at the top is a simple eight button control panel.

On the top of the printer are the output tray and the cover can be lifted to replace or service the fuser.

Rotating the printer, one side is bare but the other provides USB and network connection.
The back of the printer has your power jack and few access panels to upgrade RAM or install a wireless card.
The printer sits on four rubber feet and a thin strip of foam to help soften vibration. There are no adjustable stands so the printer must sit on a flat surface.
