JBOD, at the logical level combines physical disk drives into one larger drive. This comes in handy when dealing with an assortment of drives. Where RAID configuration combines drives at the limit of the smallest disk, JBOD does not. It will work on one drive until it is full and then move onto the next drive in the sequence.

The caching effects had a huge impact on the write and re-write results, not just for JBOD but with the TS-419P+ in general. The cache effects disappear as the file size increases and as we move towards the 4GB file, we see that the TS-419P+ Pro hits a peak at 125MB/s with a respectable 105MB/s average.
