QNAP TS-419P+ Turbo NAS
Feb 3rd, 2011 | By SimonThere’s not a whole lot to this page but I’m always interested in knowing what the power draw is on my new toys. I plugged the power brick into my power meter and took several readings. The RAID Compilation draw is measured when the TS-419P+ was configuring the four drives into RAID 5. The active case was when I was running the ATTO benchmark. The Idle load was when my system was on with no disk activity. The phantom load was taken when the QNAP TS-419P+ was powered off but still left plugged into the AC circuit.

The QNAP TS-419P+ is basically a small computer with a Marvell processor and the power consumption shows that. The phantom load is 2W and the peak load is 40W when compiling the drive. On average I would expect you to be using about 32W when idling and 37W when there is disk activity.
