Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headset
Dec 14th, 2010 | By JaredNow it is time to move onto the headset itself. The first thing you notice is they are quite large in size, with a large portion of the size sitting on top of your head. They have a good bit of weight to them so neck fatigue may come into play during long sessions.

Here you can see that the five foam pads that sit below where the center, front and rear channel speakers reside. Each speaker is connected via WaveGuides (essentially open air tubes) that run along the headset to the appropriate ear.

Each air piece has a foam pad surrounding it and a subwoofer is tucked inside on each side. Here you can see the WaveGuides that come down along each side of the earpiece. The earpieces adjust up and down to fit.

The clear side of each earcup has a hinge that allows it to open should your ears start to get hot during prolonged use or if you want to be able to hear someone or something else in the room.

The microphone plugs into the bottom of the right side earcup.

Now that we have gotten a good look at the Psyko 5.1′s, let’s get them installed and find out how well they work.
