Liteon iHBS112 Specifications

One thing I realized when I put the iHBS112 beside my Plextor PX-B940SA is how much smaller the drive is in length. The difference is close to an inch and in a small case this makes a huge difference when squeezing the SATA power and data cables up to the drive.

So what’s the big difference between the Lite-On iHBS112 and the iHBS212? The features are identical. The difference is that the iHBS212 comes with LightScribe direct disc labeling technology. This allows you to burn a label directly onto the CD or DVD without having to pull out a permanent marker. This will only work on media that is LightScribe-capable – not every BD, DVD or CD can do this. I won’t be able to test the 3D Playback but the CyberLink software can convert 2D to 3D playback. I think it’s time I invest in a 3D TV to test this theory out!
