To start, we will look at the side panels. The first image is the left side, revealing the location of the 250mm LED fan behind the dust filter. There is also the option to install four 120mm fans in place of the 250mm LED fan. As for the ribbed areas to the right of that, those are ventilation slots your hard drives and optical drives. Moving to the second image, which is the right side panel, there are no special features here; only punched in designs that give it a pleasing aesthetic look.

Exterior Exterior

Located on the top is a 120mm fan. Unfortunately, this fan doesn’t have red LEDs in it too, but that’s ok as it is set under an elevated mesh cover.

Exterior

What surprises me about the face of the H-80 is that it only has two 5.25″ bays designed for optical drives. This will definitely shoot you in the foot if you plan to install multiple drives, and most cases can allow at least three or more drives. Aside from that, I must compliment the glossy drive covers that would hide the soon-to-be-installed optical drive. Looking up from there, we see an e-SATA port, 4 USB ports, 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks, and an optional 1394 Firewire port. Just above that is the power button, reset button, and LCD system monitor, which monitors system power on/off, temperature, and hard drive activity. Right at the bottom is the cover for the 120mm LED front intake fan. Pushing the spring-loaded cover in pops it outward, increasing system airflow.

Exterior

When rotated around, we see another one of the 120mm fans; again, this one doesn’t have any red LEDs. Right below that we see rubber grommets for water cooling, 7 expansion card slots with a large vent beside it, and the location for a bottom mounted power supply.

Exterior

Last but not least, we take a view at the bottom. At each corner we see a solid rubber “foot” that elevate the case 3/8″. Why such elevation? As we can see mounting holes and mesh cover in the center, this gives us the option to install another 120mm intake fan beside the PSU intake. This is a neat option if you’re looking to pull some more performance out of the H-80.

Exterior

The GMC H-80 looks respectively solid here; let’s take off the side panels and see what it’s all about inside.
