Sparkle GTX 465 (SXX4651024D5-NM)
Jul 13th, 2010 | By JaredGames are a big factor in many consumers’ purchasing decisions.
First up on the block is Crysis. Crysis obviously needs no introduction as a system killer when it comes to performance. All settings were set to Very High with 4x anti-aliasing and the built in GPU benchmark was used.

Here with Crysis the GTX 465 lags behind both ATI cards and again requires some overclocking to jump past the HD 5830 card.
Next up is Far Cry 2 that utilizes an engine designed specifically for this game called Dunia. The Dunia engine is DirectX 10 and should stress the cards pretty good. Tests were run with settings at Very High and 4x anti-aliasing.

Far Cry 2 paints a different picture as the GTX 465 surpasses the HD 5830 card but doesn’t catch the HD 5870.
Next up is Company of Heroes which is a real time strategy games that was one of the first games to offer DirectX 10. I used the in game benchmark with all settings maxed.

Sparkle’s GTX 465 places about where it’s expected to perform beating out the HD 5830 and coming in under the HD 5870.
The last game on the agenda today is Codemaster’s Dirt 2. For testing I used the Ultra preset with 4x MSAA and used the games built in graphics benchmark.

Dirt 2 again shows results about in line for where we would expect the GTX 465 to perform.
