SilverStone Strider Plus 600W Power Supply
Jan 24th, 2011 | By AnthonyIt’s like Christmas all over again. The box is big, it is heavy and the contents just don’t rattle enough to entirely give the surprise away.

An excerpt on the packaging clearly identifies the product and specifications.

Inside along with the power supply we have a manual, power cord, some screws (along with thumb screws!) and some nice Velcro wire wraps. The cables are modular so you can pull out what you don’t need and keep the mess inside your computer to a minimum.

The unit looks good, basic looking but good. Finished in entirely in matte black with a matching black fan grill and fan along with sleeving and connectors, the unit screams business.

Speaking of the fan, it is a single 135mm Young Lin fan.

Now, let’s have a look inside.

The workmanship inside is incredibly neat. The layout is clean and as is all the solder points.

We’ve also got nicely sized finned heatsinks which span over the top of the unit allowing them to take advantage of the large 135mm fan.

On the primary side we have a Nippon Chemi-Con capacitor and on the secondary side, an assortment of both Teapo and Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors. This is always a pleasant sight.
