First impressions are very important, regardless if you are talking about meetings or hardware. Overall, my first impressions of this RAM kit were not very good, as the integrated circuits were generic. I had very low expectations of how this RAM would perform.

But, sometimes second impressions can somewhat bind up the wounds that the first impressions left behind. OCZ has delivered a solid product with the Platinum series line of DDR3 modules. Out of the thirty RAM kits I’ve purchased from OCZ this is the FIRST time I’ve ever had any problems with DOA. It happens to even the best hardware manufacturers and with OCZ’s quick RMA support they won’t leave you high and dry.

Overall, this kit is a great value with moderate overclocking performance. At ninety two dollars, no manufacturer can match the quality or value of this RAM.
