I installed the G.Skill Falcon II in my Dell XPS m1330 laptop. It was a direct swap for the 2.5″ SATA II hard drive that was in it, which I will be using as my comparison.

Dell XPS m1330 Configuration:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0 GHz)
Memory: 3GB Samsung DDR2 PC2-5300
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

HDDs: G.Skill Falcon II 64GB, Western Digital Scorpio Blue 320GB 5400RPM

Both drives had a fresh install of Windows and just the benchmarking software installed. However, I also tested the Falcon II after filling it up with random files in order to see the performance hit, if any.

To test out the drive we’ll be using Crystal Disk Mark, SiSoft Sandra, HD Tune, ATTO Disk Benchmark, and HD Tach. All benchmarks were executed three times and the average result was recorded. The system was reset between each benchmark.
