NEC 23 Inch MultiSync EX231W
Jan 5th, 2011 | By SimonI had a great time working with the EX231W-BK over the past two months. While it provides full HD and superior picture quality for both in the office and at home, it brings to the table eco-friendly features we should all consider when picking components for your next system. The power consumption was a ridiculously low and with the human sensor and ambient light sensor it adapter to the environment to always provide low power consumption.

The NEC EX231W-BK is compact at only 14.6mm and weights under 10 lbs with the base attached. With such a slim design the NEC EX231W-BK looks great on the desk but makes no compromises when it comes to providing adjustable features like tilt, pivot, swivel and height adjustment. NEC has even included a USB port for your convenience. If I had to harp at on feature, it would be the touch sensitive power button. When I come into my office at night without turning on the lights, it is difficult to find the power button but the remainder of the touch sensitive controls is a blessing to work with.

- Advantages
- Slim and stylish: only 14.6mm thick
- Low power consumption
- Fully adjustable design: tilt, pivot, swivel, height adjustment
- Disadvantages
- Touch sensitive power button not always as responsive as tactile in the dark
I would like to thank NEC for making this review possible.
