Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler

May 22nd, 2011 | By news

Review Snipit: Noctua is a company known for making quality and well performing CPU Coolers, some of the best on the market today surely. Theyve recently introduced a new cooler called the NH-C14 which gets its name from the =91C shape that the cooler is. The NH-C14 comes equipped with two Noctua NF-P14 140mm fans for excellent cooling performance. The two fans are mounted, one on top and one on the bottom, and you can configure it however you like If you need more room beneath the cooler then just use the top fan. The NH-C14 is made to be versatile and have good performance at the same time.

/*Snippet:*/ / The Noctua NH-C14 may be the most versatile convertible CPU cooling solution around today. The Noctua NH-C14 has the ability to go from ultra-low profile and silent to a dual 140mm fan enthusiast cooler with just a couple of clips. Standing at only 105mm tall with a bottom mounted fan, the NH-C14 can fit into almost any case. Despite its small height, the NH-C14 still has six copper heatpipes running through a 140mm square aluminum fin array, making the absolute most of a small space. The included Low and Ultra-Low Noise Adapters throttle back the fan (or fans) to near dead silence while still maintaining excellent cooling./

Today we take a look at one monster of a CPU cooler. This is the noctua NH-C14 CPU cooler! Designed in Austria, this has got to be the largest mid tower case CPU cooler I have ever seen! This monster sports not one, but TWO 140mm (yes that is correct) fans! If Ive said it before, I will say it again. Heat Kills! Second to speed, keeping our systems cool is paramount. If this baby cools as well as it looks, we may have a new benchmark to match all others too. Lets get right into seeing whats i n the box!

Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler

Mar 15th, 2011 | By news

As aftermarket CPU coolers continue a trend of bigger is badder, manufacturers must constantly tweak their designs to ensure compatibility across multiple platforms. Perhaps no one knows this better than Austrian company Noctua. Within the last year weve reviewed three coolers from them, the NH-D14, the C12P SE14 and the U9B SE2, and two of those feature their signature NF-P14 140mm fan. If you thought finding room to put one 140mm fan on a CPU cooler wasnt challenging enough, today we take a look at Noctuas latest creation, the NH-C14, and see how they manage to squeeze two of them on there.

Article Snippet: Noctuas NH-C14 is a huge cooler, both in physical size and performance. The build quality is excellent and the mounting solutions are very robust and easily installed. I particularly like the fan clip design and implementation. With two included fans, a feature rich accessory package including LNA and ULNA fan speed reducers, a screwdriver and an enameled metal case badge, the NH-C14 would seem to be a dream product for the enthusiast/overclockers among us.

Noctua have a justified reputation of silent, yet powerful cooling. Partnering with the Austrian Institute of Heat Transmission and Fan Technology(!) allows some serious science behind their products, and as seen in the performance of their other kit weve reviewed it seems to work. So it is with anticipation that I will be looking at their huge NH-C14 cooler.

Noctua NH-C14 Cpu Cooler

Feb 7th, 2011 | By news

It was awhile ago that we looked at a product from Noctua. Today we are back to look at their latest NH-C14 cpu cooler that is a big cpu cooler with some nice features that should prove to be quite decent to help cool the cpu. How well does it perform? We are going to compare it vs the NH-D14 which is a older cooler from Noctua but still top of the line on the market.

Quote: The NH-C14 is still a C shape top-down style cooler, but there are a f ew updates. A new fin profile, its taller, and now sports twin 140mm fans. The NH-C14 has nickel plated copper base, 6 copper heat pipes, and aluminum fins. With the NH-C14 having two fans the upper or lower fan can be remove d to create high and low clearance configurations. In low clearance with th e top fan removed the cooler is only 105mm tall. With lower fan removed for the high clearance mode there is 65mm of clearance to the motherboard. Thi s is good for those running RAM with tall heatspreaders like Kingston Hyper X T1…
