NZXT HALE90 750W Power Supply

Quote: The NZXT HALE90 750W power supply got a little warm during testing thanks to a cooling fan that remained at or around 700 RPM at all times. Ive come across this same behaviour very recently and on investigation the Sentey Golden Steel Power 850W and the NZXT HALE90 750W are based on the same Super Flower design. The introduction of a little warm air into the NZXT HALE90 750W power supply, like the Sentey, caused the cooling fan speed to ramp up to 1400 RPM.

NZXT is primarily a case manufacturer, although they have released some power supplies in the past, namely their Performance Power and Precise series. Here at OCIA.net weve looked a few of these models over the years and found them to be very stable and of decent quality, particularly considering their relatively low price. However even as recently as just two years ago, they failed to meet basic 80Plus standards, topping out around 78% efficiency. Now NZXT looks to change all that by releasing a new line of power supplies, the HALE90 Gold series.

entry back into the power supply markets the HALE90 is an impressive unit. Weâ€re in the midst of a mad rush for Gold. Companies left and right are pumping out 80 Plus Gold rated units and one can hardly blame NZXT for jumping right in. And jump in they did. Weâ€re in exciting times and the HALE90 is definitely going to be one to shake up the landscape a bit for the bigger names out there Thanks for the post!
