Control: CPU: AMD64 X2 4000+ @ 3000MHz (1.50v) CPU Cooling: MB: DFI LanParty NF590 SLI-M2R/G RAM: @ DDR1000 4-4-3-5 PSU: HD: Seagate SATAII 80GB 8MB NCQ OS: Windows XP SP2 (with all updates) Video Cards: - Catalyst Control Center 6.2 - Catalyst Control Center 6.2 - ForceWare 91.47 - ForceWare 91.47 PowerColor X1650PRO 256MB - Catalyst Control Center 6.10 We have a nice mix of old and new with a pair of 7300GTs, one sporting DDRIII memory and one with DDRII memory onboard. The once legendary X800GTO still holds its own against the newer cards and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the newer X1650PRO from PowerColor. ![]() Normally I would at this point do some thermal testing at both stock and overclocked speeds but ATI Tool wasn't picking up a temperature reading or even able to control fan speed on the X1650PRO. I then resorted to ATI Tray Tools and it too did not get a temperature reading. This obviously won't allow me to monitor temperatures under load so I guess we will jump straight to the benchmarking.
All benchmarks were run 3 times and the results averaged for the graphs on the following pages. The synthetic results were run manually with some of the gaming benchmarks run using Bench'em All with custom time demos. F.E.A.R. benchmark results were derived by simply running the built in test and the Battlefield 2 results came from the benchmark program found at Guru 3D.
