The Vengeance family of memory from Corsair brings a high quality kit of memory at very affordable prices. The Vengeance 8GB kit of DDR3-1600 (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) runs at a low voltage of 1.5v and CAS 9 making it an extremely attractive kit of memory.

Corsair Vengeance 8GB

Overclocking is never guaranteed but with the Vengeance line Corsair does market it as a budget overclocking memory and in this respect I am a little let down with only being able to get an extra 33MHz out of this kit. I have to think this is more a fluke with the kit that I have after looking at the results we saw with the Vengeance kit earlier this year.

Corsair brings a well-known and trusted name with the Vengeance line and at a price of under $60 US as of this writing this truly is a great bargain.

  • Advantages

  • Good performance
  • Limited lifetime warranty
  • Disadvantages

  • Poor overclocking

I’d like to thank Corsair for making this review possible.
